Volunteer Nurses

All of our volunteer primary-care nurses are currently licensed RNs or LPNs. Additionally, through an arrangement we have with the NEWH Nursing Consortium (Nash, Edgecombe, Wilson and Halifax Community Colleges) nursing students rotate through our clinic as part of their educational requirements to gain clinical experience. All the students contribute to routine aspects of patient care during patient appointments and work under the supervision of Consortium faculty who meet academic and clinical qualifications required by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
